Her other credits include Shiva Baby and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, both of which are Artios Award winners. Most recently, she cast Chili Finger, featuring Judy Greer, John Goodman, Sean Astin and Bryan Cranston.

Kate has built a remarkable career casting smart, distinctive independent films, and her work consistently bringing together fresh talent and experienced actors in ways that feel natural, specific and alive. That’s exactly the kind of ensemble we’re hoping to create for Paris Santana’s Night Out.

Oh, Hi! is also one of my favorite new movies - I've seen it twice - and my whole family loved it. The natural chemistry between Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman's relationship felt effortless and complete. Audiences may not always consciously think about why that chemistry works, but to me, that’s great casting..

Paris Santana’s Night Out

The film follows Paris Santana, a razor-sharp high school senior from Bakersfield who, while in Los Angeles for a band competition, hijacks her rival's school bus and heads out with her best friend Becca for one unforgettable night.

Becca is looking for an epic party. Paris has something else in mind - finding the father who ruined her life. What starts as a teenage adventure quickly spirals into a chaotic night of street races, police chases, tech-bro ragers and unexpected friendships.

It’s fast, funny and a little dangerous, but underneath it all, it’s about friendship, breaking the rules and realizing the road ahead is wide open.

For this movie, casting is everything. Paris and Becca have to feel like they’ve been best friends forever. The supporting characters need to be colorful without feeling fake. And the whole ensemble has to feel like they all belong in the same world.

That’s why Kate feels like such a great fit.

We’re thrilled to have her helping us build that world.

Welcome to the world of Paris Santana, Kate. Now the fun begins!
